I listen to the BBC for their intelligent viewpoint towards what is going on in the world other than that of USA’s legacy media. However, I cringe every single time they disrespect our president’s title. It IS PRESIDENT Trump. Stop the condescending tune just because WE have stopped throwing money at your feet.

AMERICA Why is the BBC ignoring the floods, the hundreds maybe thousands of deaths… the washing away of whole towns. The government is not really helping. Please send your reporters to these areas. The mainstream US news is not reporting on this catastrophe. The only way to get news is through tik tok!!

I recommend folks find a more balanced resource for information and news. The voices on this show are more accurately activists rather than journalists.

Too often it feels like the editors and broadcasters at the BBC have a lot of white guilt for what their anvestors did to the world. If you want to be on the receiving end of that, this is the podcast for you. If you want the news, go somewhere else.

I just listened to the recent episode about the Israeli hostage rescue. Rebecca was interviewing a man and literally cut him off mid-sentence to shriek “The Palestinians - hundreds have been killed!!” He was just about to say that. Rebecca couldn’t stand to hear some good news regarding the Israeli hostages without putting in her two cents. She is so obviously biased.

They constantly repeat the same stories. Better than most but still full of fluff pieces like yoga puppies and un-informative trauma porn.

I used to consume your reporting as factual- I know you are a biased media source- your views on Isreal as well as your Your hospitals are being infiltrated by Hamas it is a Hamas/ Terrorist issue- Speak In a truthful - righteous way and maybe the world would take you seriously- You are not a trusted source of Media

While listening to your recent coverage of the smaller efforts attempting to get aid into Gaza (particularly the Catholic(?) charity working to join the maritime effort in the works), this occurred to me: Your interviewer seemed to want to focus on the smaller size (“drop in a bucket”) of this offering. And how meaningless it seemed to the interviewer that “Only 300,000” would be fed, for one day. Clearly those 300,000 !! Individuals would differ in their response. Though I appreciate the insights of your coverage overall, you missed the boat, literally, in under-valuing the intention, commitment and devotion of the group to alleviate suffering, period. Don’t you know that such efforts are inspiring to the world ? I live in a small town of 8,000. 300,000 people is us 30+ times over. When it comes to straight forward, hard news, the BBC reigns supreme.

BBC loves reporting on things like the invasion of migrants at the US southern border, but refuses to report the cause of the crisis because it goes against their narrative. The fact they refuse to mention is that this crisis was created by the policies of the US Democratic Party and President Joe Biden. Of course, if the BBC had any way to blame Republicans or Trump for the endless rape caused by this crisis, that would be their main point of the story. Instead, they purposely hide the facts, which makes the BBC complicit. The BBC is so clearly corrupt and dishonest it should embarrass anyone who works there and calls themselves a journalist - they are not.

Completely ignore the jeering and cheering of Gazans when broken and raped dead bodies were paraded after the Oct 7 slaughters. Instead they portray the populace that glories in Jews murder as innocent victims, not complicit enablers. Not “News”.. jihadist propaganda. Disgusting.

The journalistic malfeasance happening now in regards to Israel/Palestine is disappointing. It reminds me of the fake WMD’s after 9/11.

Cool, what used to sort of be the gold standard of public access to information has now privatized themselves and negated many from hearing them.

I appreciate the BBC for offering a different perspective from U.S. news offerings, and for bringing news from around the world. However, BBC “reporting” continues an accelerating slide toward delivering only extreme liberal views on every subject in every report. With the absence of balanced, objective reporting, the BBC is rapidly losing relevance as a source of news.

Awesome. the BBC never fails to deliver what i call clean news, it is unbiased and truthful. I wish we had an american bbc. sure, we have pbs and npr but they are not broadcasting like you do. you are a great source of news and pbs/npr have news but mostly they have programs about nothing. they aren’t even close to the info./enlightening programming the BBC delivers so i thank you!

Your fitness author doesn’t know what she’s talking about… Exercise can be as easy as climbing/running a set of stairs. So, too dirt is a preferred surface for running versus asphalt or concrete which can cause shin splints. A specialist vs an author leads to credibility…

I appreciate the scope in coverage but the left/ liberal bias is painfully obvious and makes me question credibility of the reporting. I include this in my portfolio of news shows but find this one increasingly disappointing. Downgrading rating from 3 to 1 based on midterm election reporting. Election meddling by the media to report only in favor of Stacy Abrams.

Thank you to BBC News Hour and Americast for coverage of the US election with objectivity and reason. You bring clarity against the often vitriolic and angrycoverage I get here in the US.

James Menendez really comes across as a condescending bully when interviewing just about anyone. This certainly does not bring a clearer picture of the real story to your listeners. There is a proper time to be aggressive and tough with questions, but this does not mean constantly and always. How about a small bit of humility?

I like to know what is going on around the globe and this is my favorite podcast to stay informed on the headlines.

Please stop saying that abortion could become illegal in the United States following the draft opinion from the Supreme Court that was leaked. If anyone read the case opinion you would see that that is not the case at all. It’s simply gives you authority back to states to determine what laws they wish to have in their own government. Making such statements is intentionally inflammatory.

Please consider a daily news podcast for kids. My kids love to listen to the news in the morning but there is too much strife for me to let them listen to BBC on the way to school. There is a podcast for the US market called Kid Nuz. My kids love it but it is very US centric. You are best positioned to do something similar but focus on those of us who want our kids to be global citizens. Thanks for giving this some thoughtful consideration!

Love this podcast for its world news, unfortunately they still exaggerate and sugar coat the truth for North American politics. Remember, it was clear as a bell that Harris said she would NOT take the vaccine if someone they obviously hated, told them to take it. That sent the wrong message to many young Americans.

Appreciate that the interviewers ask the pertinent questions.

Great podcast. I’m leaving this review to give feedback that African countries should be referred to as countries not states. There is already a lack of understanding of our continent and referring to our countries as states is geographically incorrect.

I unsubscribed after the interview with Trumper Jan Hayes. Putting quacks like her on your air gives them an aura of legitimacy of which they are completely unworthy.

Mr Whelan, as the title suggests you’re a hypocrite and urge you to please, by all means necessary use Lindsay’s words against him as he demands and more importantly common decency and sense. Be assured I’m not alone when saying should this happen as you state and/or the toddler Trumpy Bear gets his way or Gods (plural) forbid re-elected, pandemic or no, I’m denouncing my American citizenship. If you think we’re joking, just try us. BY the people FOR the people. Historic words, are they remembered? No.

Your reporting doesn’t even try to hide your anti-conservatism. Almost all reports are slighted against the current administration. You don’t even have opposing viewpoints, you just report the issue and then have a negative review from a fellow reporter or long list of never trumpers.

What a refreshing opportunity to hear objective reporting relying upon facts and in person reporting.

Aggressive and objective reporting whose international focus reveals the inadequacy of most US news outlets.

You guys should rename this podcast (and every other bbc news source) as “the bbc coronavirus douche bag hour” with your host douche bag McGee! or, OR, maybe, “the degenerate fear mongers news podcasting hour”. I think those two titles would be much more appropriate as names, don’t you? 🤝
