Monicad1179So encouraging and life GivingThis podcast is absolutely beautiful. I’ve listened to the first 3 three times already and it just launched. It’s food for my soul! It’s insightful, enriching and points to Jesus in such a way that it leaves you yearning to put it into practice as soon as finishing the podcast. Practicing the way is truly revolutionary!!!

IntufishinThanks JM and the entire crew!!!John Mark has opened my spiritual eyes to see the banquet feast of apprenticeship to Jesus through the introduction of the practices and the many ways of the early saints, compared to the beans and rice of merely reading God’s word and going to church. And being introduced to Willard, Foster, Nouwen on top of that…words cannot express!!

CS080815A Beautiful Soul for an Aching WorldJohn Mark is an incredibly gifted mind. The ways the Lord uses him to deliver encouragement and hope build character and really seem to serve as an invitation to join him on his journey with the Savior.

The Dusty ButlerExcellent supplement to the bookThe ‘Practicing the Way’ podcast is already very helpful in both summarizing and expanding upon the key ideas of John Mark’s new book. Pastor Tyler Staton does a great job of identifying areas that need further clarification or nuance, such as, “is all this discipleship talk just works righteousness?” So far the most helpful thing for me personally was discovering that discipleship to Jesus is what Christianity, and that being a Christian and then “doing discipleship” are not different things when you look at Christ’s call, but over time in the history of the church the last few centuries these ideas have become split, and discipleship has become this optional path for the elite Christians. The conversational format between John Mark and Tyler really help bring out the best of each other and from the book. I’m looking forward to following along for all the episodes to come!
