Love the sex positivity but also dishing hot goss. JKB for always.

I used to love this podcast, when Jamila was the host. The tone now seems at times hateful instead of funny. There was in a recent episode a story about a woman who was clearly a sex worker and the way the host spoke about her and encouraged guests to speak about her was really disheartening and gross. Story also wasn't funny. Jamila had such a warm presence and seemed to have better guests as well. I gave Joel a try but he's allowed and encouraged some misogynistic stories on here, making fun of women's bodies or lives without any humour. It reminds me of the bad show the comic gives in the TV series Hacks (on the lesbian boat) where she says "it's a joke about women! and everyone hates women, right?") Her audience hates her, and I hate that Jamila, a sex-positive superstar, was replaced with this shame-based toxicity.

This is in my top 5 of podcasts I’m always a YES to listening to at any given time. So fun. The stories are my favorite part, and I wish those were 100% of the show. Thanks to Joel and others for having a greater diversity of guests on the show. How else would we hear such a variety of stories?! 🤩

Could this show be better? No. Joel has taken this show to another level. Thank you for making me laugh like a hyena in public.

Just listening to hear the sound of Joel’s creamy voice, big plus that he just so happens to be super hilarious and finds great guests.

Every Monday when I realize a new episode is out, I am so excited! This show has been comedic therapy for me so many times. I loved Jameela and I love JKB :)

This podcast makes me laugh, makes me happy, and makes me feel better about my former dating life. But the best thing here is Joel Kim Booster. This man is amazing. He makes all the craziness of the bad date stories even better. I tried this pod with former host and lost interest quickly (no shade). But Joel is just phenomenal! Love love it and will keep listening.

And I mean that in the best way possible. I’ve listened since season 1. I think Joel is phenomenal, the guests are stellar, and the stories will stick with me forever. This show is funny, gross, horrifying, sex positive, and an absolute blast. I recommend it to people on my Hinge profile.

I was so excited to find out Joel is back hosting another podcast. He does a great job and is so fun! I love the advice bit at the beginning too, nice to have listener input/stories/engagement. Maybe give former chefs an episode with Mitra?

I never write podcast reviews but had to get one out there for this show. I’ve been listening since ep. 1 and it always brightens my Monday commute. Joel is so funny and smart (best host yet!) and he does a great job tying up truly nutso stories with fresh insights. love the wide range of guests and experiences shared. Great dose of schadenfruede every time, never have felt so relieved to be an old married millennial and as far away from the apps and dating life as ever 😂

Too funny, I wonder if some actors from the sex lives of college girls would come on. Either way, love Joel watching him in an episode of industry the other day lol

Started listening because of Jameela Jamil, kept listening because it became my favorite podcast.

I thoroughly enjoy this show and am learning a lot about dating in the age of apps, especially for gay men. I have listened to at least 10 episodes and have not heard a single story about gay women. The show has so many perspectives, so this seems like a glaring omission. P.S. “Only 5 star reviews” renders the entire rating system meaningless.

I’ve been listening since Jameela was hosting and loved it. Since she left, the show has gone off the rails. I was holding on in hopes it would get better, but each episode just gets worse. It’s more about gross hookups than actual “dates”.

Somewhere on the line between entertaining, scintillating, and titillating, Bad Dates makes this dull married guy wonder what he’s missed, and grateful I no longer have to try.

I just started listening and I’m addicted! Do Not Recommend if you’re a farmer from the rural Midwest and have “never met a gay” person before, but for everyone else, strap in (or on?) and enjoy!

I absolutely loved this pod under the tutelage of Jameela Jamil. It was bawdy and engaging. She was a great foil as a host. A bit prim in her own life but reveling in the tales of the guests and a natural with engaging the guests. The interim hosts never captured the same balance but I held on waiting for a permanent replacement. Joel Kim Booster is cringey at best. His monologues are filled with uhmmms and narrow minded points of view. The guests are more one dimensional and it’s less about dating and more about hook up stories. His whole perspective is a subculture of LA and NYC. He makes broad generalizations about whole categories of people, I.e. “all gays are….” like we are a monolith. Every time I listen it’s with the perspective that this will be my last because he’s just so awkward and out of his league. I am on the verge of moving on but keep hoping he will be replaced at the end of the year. Please 🙏🏻

Absolutely love Joel and the guests he brings on. Can’t wait to listen every week—I push play right as I’m leaving work on Mondays. What a dream.

Always enjoyed the podcast, but Joel is my favorite host, because he is never afraid to tell the truth and asks the questions we are all wanting to ask also!

I love the roster that is pulled together every show. Under JKB’s deft hand, everyone takes turns to share hilarious stories that are sometime humiliating, but not cringey, and when it is called for, there is so much grace for a truly icky experience while maintaining humor and reclaiming dignity. I love love love!

I love this show, especially with Joel Kim Booster as the host. But, I need to know who Matt Rogers was talking about.

I loved the pod with Jameela Jamil. But with the subsequent hosts, the quality has decreased dramatically. The stories used to be funny and a little heartwarming. Now they’re crass and cringy. Joel Kim Booster has brought the funny down so much and the crude comments up too much. I no longer have this pod on my must listen to list. ☹️

Love Joel and Bad Dates! Funny, cringy, and relatable! A must listen!

I love the hosts. The stories are so over the top and wild it’s hard to relate. I wish 1 wild story was mixed with more relatable bad date stories. I was excited to listen because I love bad date stories but I thought it would be more like all the series of red flags.

Joel is lovely and hilarious. He’s a natural host.

I think Joel has an amazing voice and is an incredible host. I love his tempo and he gets down to business, he made it his own show and it’s catchy, great friendly chemistry between him and the guests (I felt like the other host, Marie, was unnecessarily hostile to some guests at one point) and the added Speed dates are amazing as well, extra content is always a huge plus. I also miss Jameela Jamil and her accent and knowledge but I think Joel really did a great job picking it up. I wish the episodes were longer!!

I discovered this show because of Joel. I think he is a great host and the stories have been very funny and entertaining. Love you Joel!!
