    Grade Retention
I can’t express how much this episode means to me. My son has ADHD, has a late birthday (May) and is smaller than most kids his age. He’s currently in 4th grade, and for years, I’ve questioned whether I should have held him back in kindergarten. Academically, he’s doing really well, and I truly believe he’s in the right grade. Still, I’ve always second-guessed my decision not to hold him back—especially since so many parents choose to do that, particularly with boys. Thank you!

Practical tools for day to day struggles
I’m a mom to adhd son. Listening to this podcast really supported our family in getting the evaluation. I love listening on my drive to work. We also have the course. Super helpful!

    Helpful
It would be great to know when you’re about to give the listeners an ad. Sometimes the voice doesn’t change and it seems like it’s part of the interview and a little confusing. Thanks for doing this work!

So comforting, reassuring, relatable and informative
This podcast has been the number one most helpful source of advice and information since my daughter’s ADHD diagnosis. I feel like the topics they cover are spot on and the tone they use is kind, judgement free and relatable. I listen to this on my way to work and I often find myself saying “OMG, YES!” because so many of their experiences or discussion points describe exactly what we are experiencing with my daughter at home and at school. It brings me so much comfort to know I’m not alone in this journey, and neither is my daughter because they so often describe her to a T even though they have never met her. I am most anxious about others misunderstanding my kid and even more anxious about ME misunderstanding my kid. This podcast has given me the gift of understanding my kid and a bit of armor around those who don’t understand her. I’ve known I need to “meet her where she’s at” and this podcast actually helps me do that (or at least get a heck of a lot closer). Thank you for this podcast, it is really a game changer.

    Support for our ADHD Journey
I have found this podcast and The Childhood Collective to be a source of great comfort. The hosts give well researched parental advice, speak from experience and are refreshing to listen to. Theirs is a balanced outlook, exactly what we needed. Initially found them to help our family parent our ADHDer with boundaries and compassion but their topics on Girls and ADHD helped me seek my own diagnosis. I truly appreciate the work you are doing and I hope you do this for a very long time. We continue to benefit as a family of your content.

    Thank goodness I found this!
This is the most relatable content I’ve found to date for parents of kids with ADHD. My child had a domains meeting last week and I listened to the 504 v IEP episode three times to hype myself up!

    Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this podcast! As a mother of an adhd child and wife to an adhd husband, this is helping me understand their train of thought and actions and have a little more patience. I appreciate yall!

    Grateful
As a parent, I am consistently trying to do what is “best” for my kids. Often my husband and I sit at night look at each other and say did we help or hurt our kiddo. Having a young kid with ADHD and anxiety has been challenging to navigate. Especially all the background noise about it not being real or that it is just an excuse from some of our older generation. I was pointed to TCC by my kiddos Behavioral Neurologist and I’m so grateful to her. These podcasts have given me reassurance and new perspective. HUGE FAN!

    Amazing podcast
My go to resource on ADHD. Evidence based advice, practical tips, and enjoyable. It feels like you’re listening to a great conversation between friends and they also keep it interesting with interviews. It has been such a help with navigating parenting a kid with ADHD!

    Practical, non-judgmental, and expertise-based!
I have been listening to this podcast for about a year and have recommended it to several other parents! Lori, Mallory, and Katie are kind, down-to-earth professionals and mothers whose perspective helps me feel more confident in parenting my ADHD child. As a neurotypical person myself, it is often difficult for me to understand why my child acts and struggles the way that they do, and the many expert viewpoints (and just humane, thoughtful, sensitive advice from other ADHD parents) that they provide here have really given me some valuable tools and perspective shifts that I needed. Thank you for this wonderful podcast!

    Not Alone
This podcast has helped me so much as a mom with a kid who possibly has ADHD. I'm always sharing with my husband (who has ADHD) what I am learning each week and it has opened up great conversations between us as well. So thank you for helping provide that open communication between us. One of the last episodes I listened to interviewing Rachel Nielsen really spoke to me. Especially when Mallory?(can't remember who) got emotional about her difficult season of parenting she was in. I started crying along with her as I listened because we are not only going through our own season of difficult parenting, but I also felt so seen and not alone. Thank you for being vulnerable about your parenting journeys as it truly feels like you all understand and are walking alongside with us instead of simply giving us parenting advice. Your podcast has amazing wisdom and insight but more importantly, it has a heart for parenting kids with ADHD and I cannot say thank you enough.

    Great podcast
This is the best podcast on ADHD! It’s very relatable and I’m not sure what other way to describe it than it’s real (what I mean is it isn’t some person going through ‘what should be done’- it’s real - hopefully that makes sense). It’s also fun and easy to listen to. You will go away from it feeling more confident as a parent with more skills under your belt. It’s helping me immensely!

Fantastic resource for parents and professionals
This is a fantastic resource for both parents and professionals. Even with 20 years experience as a child psychologist I learn something new each episode that I use in my work and at home.

    Thank You for seeing me!
Listening to the episode of ADHD in girls and I first realized I went unknowingly and I thank God that I got my daughter diagnosed after seeing the signs and sheesh so many emotions all over! From meds to impulse to education to me worrying about the future and it just goes on and on! This podcast is everything!

    Practical advice - thank you!
I am so glad I found this podcast! For a mom with ADHD herself, this podcast is so easy to listen to - so much easier to listen to these bite size episodes than get through a whole book on ADHD. Thanks for this informative, helpful content!

    The best podcast!
I am so grateful to have found The Childhood Collective and this podcast. It is so well done, well structured, and geared towards parents with real hands on advice and strategies you can use right away. The hosts do an amazing job of breaking topics down so they are not overwhelming. As a mom of a child with ADHD, I finally feel understood and supported. This podcast has helped me understand ADHD and my child better, and has improved our relationship. I feel empowered, instead of defeated. Thank you!

Grateful for all of your hard work in guiding and equipping us parents with the knowledge and insight needed to best help our kids. The podcast has made me less overwhelmed with parenting my kids with ADHD in addition to feeling more prepared to fight for the correct accommodations at school. Thank you for all you do!

    Terrific Resource!
A friend shared this podcast with me after we were commiserating over our ADHD parenting struggles and I’m beyond grateful for this resource. It’s so insightful and helps me understand ADHD like never before! I also bought the Shining at School guide and it’s a godsend. In addition to providing helpful information and guidance, I like the format of the podcast and the other resources these women create-today we’re going to cover… and then they cover, and then the recap of what they covered-it breaks down the information in an easily digestible format. So, THANK YOU ladies! Please keep on keeping on!!!

    Thank You!
Thank you ladies so much for committing to producing a podcast! Your website has been such a blessing to me since I found it about a year ago, and now I weekly look forward to each new podcast episode! These easily “digestible” episodes (usually listen in my car when running errands) help me to fully understand and grasp my daughter’s ADHD. I also love the practical tips and tricks for families. Knowledge and understanding are the best defense against the shame, fear & anxiety I felt…. not truly knowing why my daughter was so different from my other 3 children….and how I seemed to be failing as her momma. All that is in the past and I am empowered by learning everything I can about what makes her “tick” and how her brain is unique and wonderfully made! I can’t say thank you enough!

Give it a listen, you won’t be disappointed
Relatable and informative without feeling overwhelming. You can tell the podcasts are research based while listening, but things are always worded in ways that make sense. Empowering for this parent of a young child with suspected ADHD. After listening to this podcast, I feel like I have a plan and the tools to help my child be his best self.

    So helpful!
I listened to Creating Calm last a few months ago and LOVED it so when I heard that these ladies were adding a podcast, I was thrilled! It’s so nice to hear stories that I can relate to and tips that I can use to help my daughter! It can be so overwhelming to figure out how to manage the diagnosis/school accommodation process so I love that this podcast tackles some of those challenges!

    Wonderful resource!
I have been following The Childhood Collective on Instagram for a long time and completed their Creating Calm course, so I wasn’t sure how much more I could get out of their podcast content. I have to say, this is my favorite resource they provide! The first three episodes gave me a perspective shift, courage when dealing with schools and the confidence to set boundaries around our parenting and child. I am looking forward to all the episodes to come.

It’s nice to hear a balance of information with transparency. These ladies are professionals in their field, yet are honest and open about their own triumphs and struggles parenting children with ADHD. As a special education teacher and parent of a child with ADHD myself, it’s comforting to know I’m not alone in this journey and having this podcast/resource to help guide/support me is essential.
