Some good analysis, but hosts are INSUFFERABLE
I tried to like this podcast because I liked that while it wasn't unbiased, it wasn’t really partisan and provided good analysis. However after multiple episodes I find the hosts, especially Andrew Heaton, absolutely insufferable, out of touch, and immune to being wrong. Listening to the latest episode about United Healthcare CEO cemented this for me, as the men were so clearly out of touch with why Americans are reacting the way they are and are obsessed with protecting the establishment. As other commenters mention I find Jen a bit annoying but I think she makes a lot of good points, and accepts when she can be wrong. I want to like this podcast so bad because it does have some good moments but the hosts can be so irritating.

    Jen shouldn’t promote murder
Jen’s rant on the United Healthcare CEOs murder insured that I will never support this podcast via patreon or substack etc. I do hope and expect to support Heaton and JuRY both soon. Jen revealed her true colors and I can’t support her given the way she supported the murder.

    Jen’s crusty burger
Guys this is wrong it sounds like Jen might have a unkept undercarriage

    One of the best
Some of the most insightful, intelligent, and informed people, who have delightful chemistry with one another, (and are genuinely friends) talk about politics.

    2 Would Be Better
Why are we listening to Jen offer economic analysis when she freely admitted she has no idea how to buy a share of stock…
  • AGastler
    Tremendous
I, for one find all three of these people delightful and insightful.

    2/3s great
Honestly if this show were just Andrew and Justin, it would be great and I’d look forward to it every week. Instead, I see it pop up in my feed and always have to ask myself if I can stand listening to Jen Briney lecture the audience or the other hosts about whatever her pet peeve that week and be a killjoy about anything else.

    Enough
We get it. Jen is not a fan of carbon. Please shut up about it. Talk about something else, please. I am fast forwarding through her rants. We already know her talking points. We don’t go to your show for lectures. We go for insight. We’ve already heard Jen‘s insight about carbon. Please stop. This is my favorite podcast. Please do not make me start hating it because it’s repetitive.

    Friendly Healthy Debate
I like listening to Jen and the boys discuss current events from their areas of expertise. I’m proud of what they have accomplished with this show and it makes me laugh often. I also appreciate their healthy debate. I highly recommend attending one of their live shows, I’ve been to one and it was a delight!

    Questioning Jen’s investigative talents
I listen to this podcast and her other one, and I can usually listen to the clips she shares and determined for myself what it is saying or decide, based on what I’ve heard, whether she’s accurate in her translation. Then there are times when I have to trust what she is saying. Occasionally, she attempts to use medical jargon or talk about something medical, such as COVID-19. So far she hasn’t managed to get the medical part right at all. She used the term sundowning about as incorrectly as you can. It might seem like a small thing, but anyone who looks sundowning up is going to be led down a bad path and link that to Joe Biden. It would be a wrong assumption. This leads me to the times on her podcast when I have to trust what she says as being accurate. I listen to a bunch of podcasts all day and honestly don’t have time to fact check everything I hear, this is why I listen to podcasts that I trust, implicitly and find value in. These are the ones that get my money.

    Why I listen
Honestly….. I’m here for Andrew Heaton I love that guy

    LET JENN TALK
I really like this show, but one thing that I have a problem with it is how often the men interrupt Jenn when she’s speaking. They don’t interrupt each other nearly as much as they do her. I understand that the speech tempo of this show is quick, but again guys try to be conscious of how often you have the urge to interrupt her point before it’s fully made. Sometimes that makes it hard to listen to. But I really enjoy this teams work and I recommend your show to everyone lol.

Red team vs Blue team is bad
Feels like they just want to complain about takes they see on Twitter and focus on the center of politics. Maga right and Leftists are all but ignored. Anytime they get close to having an interesting discussion it devolves into “Team politics is bad”. While true they go there way too much instead of talking about ideas outside of the center.

    Andrew
I love you man. This show has got to be the best political commentary show out there in this dumpster fire. Politicians say one thing then do the opposite and these co hosts point some of them out. I wish Jon Stewart was still on tv and would interview them. All three remind me of him.

    Beautiful
I just finished listening to your latest episode and wanted to show how incredibly moved I was by the closing. I’m a long time Heaton fan (Reason skits, Alienating the Audience, Orphanage, etc.) and I have really enjoyed getting to “know” Jen and Justin. I don’t always agree with Jen in particular, but her passion and dedication to her craft are always brightly clear. In this episode she allowed herself to show a moment of true vulnerability, on a very public medium, in win way I don’t imagine many would. It was beautiful, and humbling, and I am very grateful for all she brings to this sphere.
  • Perfunctory Name
Jen needs to do more research, but Andrew and Justin are good
After watching for a while now, Jen needs to do some actual research and learn how to respond to criticism. She is very thin skinned which is not great for someone who purports to be a journalist. Andrew and Justin are alright though and should replace Jen with someone like Dave Smith, Michael Malice, or Scott Horton so they actually get some thoughtful responses and commentary. Original: The podcast is alright though Jen often seems to stick her foot in her mouth with many poorly researched answers as seen in her responses to the January 6th committee, the IRS Scandal and Lois Lerner, the recent debt ceiling fight, and her recent comments on protecting child mutilation aka trans kids. If you were to listen to Jen, you would think that the democrats can do no wrong while the republicans do nothing but wrong. Both sides are to blame! Do better research and don’t simply believe the lies that the government feeds. Justin and Andrew need to push back better when she gives poorly researched answers. I would support them if she would do better research and admit when she is wrong like with the Jan 6th committee.

    So entertaining!
I loved Jens perspective on the indictment of Trump. Her points were on the money

    Covid Amnesty
The hosts are woefully out of touch with those of us who had our jobs threatened and to this day are still shunned. We were banned from any social media (and still are) if we tried to ask questions or search for the truth. These two sides are not equal. Those who drank the koolaid engaged in shaming, threats, and many even proposed the deaths of those of us who require actual data to make our decisions. Not one person who drank the koolaid had ANY data. I know this because I’m a Sr. Analyst in the healthcare industry and was begging for the data (still waiting for much of it).

    Great Substantive policy discussion
Justin, Jen and Andrew bring it every week.
  • R.00
    Hard to rate
Jen is clearly the best, and I wish I could rate this show higher to support her. Unfortunately I just can't listen to Heaton anymore. He keeps pushing bad faith attacks on programs where he hasn't examined any underlying data, even the data in Jen's show. He should at least listen to her podcast! Jen and Justin talk to Heaton as if he has logical or legal knowledge, but his assumptions are always so far off from the start that it just gets too infuriating to listen to.
  • Psybeeasel
    Political Triad. Trinity of Politics.
This is one of the few podcasts out there that make me feel smarter for listening. Opinions are backed up & discussed. It’s weird listening to discussion without name calling. They are all awesome.
  • Joel Wittenmyer
    Just Great!
Jen has to carry the chuckle heads but it is a great podcast!!! 5 Star
  • Archie Tolstov
    Political Triad
I like and respect all three of these guys opinion individually, but I didn't realize how great the energy would be with the thee of them together. It feels like unwinding with your friends at a bar, if your friends wanted to talk about politics.
  • The player77854
    Not too impressive
I have listened to all episodes so far, Jen is a little too screechy, I personally don’t care for her San Francisco outlook on life. If she wants draconian laws let her have them in San Francisco, I don’t want to live in rural Wyoming the exact same way as anyone in San Francisco lives. As far as Justin??? He hosts a podcast called Politics, Politics, Politics. from Austin, I wonder where he lays on the political spectrum. Andrew Heaton is the reason I started to listen to this podcast, and I just have to say, I am very disappointed. He is a “libertarian” but consistently keeps advocating more and more regulation and laws because it might help or something??? Definitely confusing to what I thought a libertarian is.
  • Xyon Curtain
    Political Trouple
I loved the political triad episodes and I’m glad they now get together weekly! Though, the title is totally against against Heaton’s whole ethos. But overall, incredibly smart, knowledgeable hosts that have the ability to be incredibly rofl funny while not being polarizing.
  • MochaBearBooks
Even more of the best names in politics.
Andrew Heston and Justin Young are hands down my favorite podcasters of all time. I always leave feeling I got informed or at least saw an interesting point of view I didn’t see before. Andrew in particular does a great job at bringing forward points. His podcast has really helped me to broaden my mind. Jen is good in this podcast, I prefer her here where ideas can be kicked around with the other hosts rather than her solo podcast where she kinda just preaches at you. This series is worth everyone’s time.
  • pjon0583
    Like being among friends
Was excited this happened! I listen to them individually and my favorite segments was always the political triad. Glad to get these episodes more consistently!
  • Blameebner
    What we need!
As a teacher, and an educator, this podcast has it all. You have the judicial side in the son of a judge Andrew Heaton, you have the diligence of Briney who will sit there and read the laws that nobody else wants to read, and then you have the referee, and the expert of the campaign, Mr. Justin Robert Young who understands his cohosts almost as well as they understand them selves. This is a hoot, this is a knee slapper, this is a thought provoker. If you’re not listening, or you’re not having your teenagers listen, then they’re missing out because there is a whole host of learning going on on this podcast.
  • abdknsn
    Permanent Political Triad!
I listen to these podcasters’ shows individually, but having the three of them together for a dedicated show is a real treat.
  • My foot is big
    Nearly Perfect
My only issue with this podcast is the same I have with most “independent thinker” panels; it consists of one very far leftist, one liberal, and one libertarian. I like all of the hosts, but I do sometimes wish there was a conservative voice in the group.
  • AkaDimix_
Name a better crossover, I dare you
Love hearing the unscripted opinions of some of my favorite policy analysts. POLICY, not politics.
  • Majicwon
Excellent people, excellent content, excellent fun!
Justin, Andrew, and Jennifer form this amazing political triad with unique perspectives that help to break down the ins and outs of politics and also enable the audience to have fun while getting educated. Becoming informed for political decisions at the polls was never so entertaining!
  • mngolferguy
A full meal for your brain
While most podcasts closer resemble that drive-thru fast-food phenomenon where the picture does not resemble the given meal. Each host here actually brings substance to the table, it is not a podcast filled with time-consuming non-contributing fluff. This is the red meat. Enjoy.
  • Dr. Ganon
Do you want to be right too?
Well discussions like this will help you refine your own beliefs so you know you are always right! *possible side effects include awkward conversations, embarrassment, and sometimes death.
