So sad this trio is done. Best chemistry of all the podcasts on the ringer. Best part of my week. I can’t bring myself to listen to the last episode yet.

I am so very sad this pod was cancelled. Please come back in some way as a trio. Thank you for the laughs and thank you for introducing me to so many new movies/shows.

I will miss my paradoxical friendship with Joanna, Dave, and Neil so much. Hope you all can pod together again in one form or another.

I can’t believe it’s over. This IS not WAS my favorite podcast. It cheered me up every time I got a notification of a new episode until now. I’ll miss you three and Carlos so much!

I am devastated to learn I will not be hearing my three favorite people in my podcast feed anymore. I have listened for so many years. I remember finishing a game of thrones episode and counting down to hear you all relive it with me. I have learned about so many other shows I loved from the off seasons like Letterkenny and Killing Eve. I have not called yet in 2025! Hope to see a new show from you soon. Hope this review makes it to your eyes so you know how impactful you have been.

So really sad to hear of the cancellation. You sure helped me a lot during our post covid haze that we live in. Hearing such a true, real friendship was refreshing to hear every week

This pod was a breath of fresh air. Can’t believe Ringer cancelled it and didn’t announce anything. Please bring it back, or at the very least do a farewell episode!

On another note, I thank you for all the good times and watch alongs. I actually haven’t and probably won’t watch Game of Thrones. But I’ve been here for lost, gods of America, Westworld, and many more. I admire and care for each of you hosts, and when one of you is bothering me, another one, surely isn’t. It’s a whack a mole of love and eye rolls. A perfect mashup of the process of making friends along the way. Thank you, I wouldn’t change a thing.

The big movie bet 2025 was a fantastic episode of the show. Loved the concepts and categories and have something to look forward to when we finally get to the end of this year!

Dave, Joanna, Neil thank you. Listening to this show feels like sitting around with my friends debating the bests and worsts. Consensus, schmasensus. More fun to duke it out. I love these guys so much that I went back and watched Lost and GoT for the first times to get to enjoy the old Storm casts. Came to know Joanna from Buffering appearances and now I’m a ride or die (ride together, park alone?). Love y’all.

When Jo is gone from this earth, who will care or even notice? Imagine your only contribution to this world is recorded musings about other people’s creations? Jesus, that’s depressing. Oh well, at least her spouse and children will remember her….oh wait.

Joanna, Dave and Neil are so much fun together. Easy to see they are long time friends with inside jokes and great energy. Really enjoying the HotD discussions!

The opening where they each say what they have and have not read in the got universe is so incredibly annoying. It’s not even a funny bit so what is the point of that? And guess what, it’s also the ad for the podcast that you’ll catch often when listening to other podcasts so they double and triple down on the awful bit. That they repeat every episode!! And every ad! It’s an utterly baffling choice.

Enjoyed the topics!

I have no idea whether they choose their topics or if their hands are tied by the Ringer network but this format and the topics they cover (baseball for opening month?) is just NOT what I loved about these podcasters BEFORE the Ringer acquired them. Back when their “off season tour” between GoT seasons, their non-Ringer show was AMAZING (not too mention how great their GoT coverage was while in season). Now I’ll check in time to time but more often than not, the topics feel forced upon them. The sound design on this podcast is fine but makes me miss Da7e’s production style on Storm of Spoilers. Luckily there’s still the Fighting in the War Room Podcast. Joanna’s wealth and Bay Area life has lifted her further and further out of touch with the rest of us not wealthy folk. Her smugness and elitism feels deeper than ever. I’ve lived in California for 20 years now (both north and south); and Joanna is now the type of person that I feared becoming when I moved from Jersey to California. She feels like the smugness cloud from that South Park episode about the Bay Area and Priuses. Miss you guys and the way it used to be.

Want to listen to two writers who have turned their MCU book manuscript into their publisher explain to you why the phase 4 films aren’t as bad as you thought they were when you watched them yourself?! yeah, me either. they don’t actually acknowledge the conflict of interest from that lens anywhere either, they’re just like… “if you notice it don’t call us out on it!”. they’re not smart of funny either, to be fair to them.

Would listen to them discuss literally anything! Smartest podcast at The Ringer!!

I mostly love this show, but every now and then it feels a bit too scripted. Sometimes it seems like the hosts are trying to show off their film knowledge by picking a black and white movie from 1956 seen by less than a hundred people instead of picking the popular movie that grossed a billion dollars. But it’s a fun concept and the best parts of the show are when they actually banter back and forth.

I really like the concept & the hosts overall but their delivery & flow makes it difficult to listen to… I don’t think they’re actually smirking as they speak but it sounds like they are the majority of the time… there is also a distracting amount of “um”s… the debates are what makes the show interesting but it undermines the faith in the host’s position when it sounds like they aren’t totally sure of their own opinion… not sure if this is something that can be tightened up with more prep or possibly with editing but there’s too much unconvincing attempts at convincing …

Love the format of this show. But not a single mention of Big Mouth on the adult animation episode? Dense jokes, relatable characters, and probably the greatest single premise ever!

I love Lost and that is how I found this trio. Was so happy they came back with this great podcast that relates to pop culture going on but not just a review cast. Great content and fun people to hang out with.

The hosts can make any topic boring.

The chemistry of the hosts is unbelievable. Love the topics, the research, and the inherit comedy.

The team that brought "A Storm of Spoilers" continues to make your laugh and think each week.

Neil and Dave are pretty great. But it ends there.

I would follow Joanna and her podcasting/writing anywhere and I’m so excited by this Ringer show! The hosts have settled into an excellent format of chatting about the topic at hand broadly, giving a bunch of examples, and then presenting their (and the listeners) top picks. I love the banter they all bring and have loved the dynamics they have brought to all their podcasts.

And that’s the point. Delightful to listen to these three gab about anything. When it comes to tv podcasting, Joanna Robinson is the GOAT, and here she’s at her most unleashed. They have the ability to sound like the conversation is happening off-mike.

I just feel like they’ve been spinning the wheels lately. Some really boring choices in the past several months, like we really spent a month on zombies?

Love this show and love these 3. I’ve been a listener of them since storm of spoilers days and am so happy that they are now doing this podcast. The format is fun and engaging and I always learn something new!

I know this maybe petty but I’m gonna have to unfollow because how did Dr Strange end up on the worst list & not Black Adam or Morbius. Those movies are way worse. It was fun while it lasted.

LOVE Dave & Joanna. They are an amazing anchor for any guest host, with Dave’s endearing humor and Joanna’s insightful, constructive critiques

Beetlejuice made me wary. Galadriel made me turn it off. The Big Picture has conditioned us to take it serious while having fun. If youre lacking seriousness, just dont do them

I started listening to Rewatchables but now my favorite Ringer pods are Mallory and/or Jo talking about Westeros. Great balance of insight and frivolity lol. The debates are fun— both on their own and alongside a rewatch. Love this podcast

Love the Pod. Detailed, but they still have fun. Joanna almost dropped a “Monday morning quarterback” metaphor in reference to Lord Orwyle in F&B, had she landed that I would have given 7 stars!

I like the concept and the playful interaction between cohosts. I also love the focus they put on feedback and input from listeners! Despite all the other HotD Ringer content, this groups HotD episodes provide different insights from Da7e and Neil, and their chemistry is fantastic!
