    There is no “Mark”
Sorry to leave a harsh review, but hearing you talk about S2 E10, I get the feeling that the participants of this pod may also be severed. Your innies watch the show and then your outies talk about it with no memory of what happened. You’re all upset that “Mark” didn’t reunite with Gemma. Have you forgotten that Mark is severed? Innie Mark isn’t choosing between two loves. He’s choosing between the love he knows and a stranger that he doesn’t know. He’s taken on the heroic task of rescuing her. What more can you expect? That he end his own existence?

    Ugh
I would literally rather have my 80 year old parents try to explain this show to me than listen to these people try to explain anything. The hosts literally forget the names of the main characters spend the entire show overidentifying with.

    Pass
It seems like the hosts of this podcast aren’t really into Severance. They mispronounce main character’s names. Frequently ask questions that are answered in the show. There are better Severance podcasts out there.

It sounds like you guys recorded in a tin can… And the proper term is “devour feculence”. Meh

    You missed that?
How are you going to have a podcast about a show you’re not paying attention to? There was a major line of dialogue in this week’s episode, and you mentioned it, but you didn’t even bother to confirm what the line was before talking about it? Ok, I get that some people enjoy watching shows without captions, and I get that maybe you’re too busy to go back and rewatch, or maybe the remote was out of reach so you couldn’t rewind, but at the same time … this show is so heavy on mystery! And relatively light on dialogue! Every single line is a clue, yet you let this one slip by and don’t even seem to care? Mind-boggling.

    Don’t Waste Your Time
Listened to half of one episode for S2E9 and I am convinced this is a social experiment where people who have never watched this show break down the episode blindly. What a waste of time.

    Maybe take some notes?
I’ve tried to listen to this podcast with an open mind, but other than Robert Licuria, nobody on this panel seems to pay much attention to the show. I get that Severance is complicated and you all probably have day jobs, but you could maybe jot a few notes in a notebook while you watch, so you actually know characters’ names and the highlights of each episode. I mean, it’s the end of season 2, and you don’t seem to have absorbed much.

    Ricken’s friends started a podcast!
I can’t believe they committed to the bit so fully of being Ricken’s pseudo intellectual friends watching Severance! Every episodes someone says something with the same energy of “you know, I heard they didn’t even call it World War I” It’s a hilarious bit that keeps going, every episode! Just can’t believe how committed they are and what an amazing job they do of writing dialogue that sounds like what Ricken’s friends would say. I just wish one of them was actually named Rebek but I guess Shadan and Rasha are close.

    i tried.
i listened to this as season 1 of severance was airing, returned to it during season 2 and i’m embarrassed for my past self. really wish they’d take the time to reference notes on details from the episodes or even the actor’s names. also the sound quality is tinny and off balance the entire show is like listening to a water cooler conversation between coworkers who had the show on while cooking dinner, but weren’t really watching it. …and they’re having the conversation inside a bunker.

    Dinnerless dinner party
This podcast is like listening to Ricken and his friends trying to wax intellectual without dinner over this show.

    Poor podcast
The mics are bad, the commentary is though they’ve never watched the other episodes and they mispronounce the name of Devon. Horrible.

    Other options are better
Can’t get enough of Severance so I gave this one a shot. That was mistake! Terrible audio quality combined with a bunch of stupid ideas and theories. Much better options out there - listen to Severed or the official Severance podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott

    Great addition to the show!
I wish I found this during the first season, but better late than never. Interviewer does a great job of keeping things on track and moving along. The rest of the team is a good mix of personalities. Sometimes I’ll go back to watch the show a second time after hearing the insights on the podcast.

    Release before episode aired
Big oops. Read carefully before listening or you might be spoiled.

    Really good show!
I really like the commentary. It’s is led by a woman and everyone has such insightful ideas. The audio quality of some of the commenters is not always good. It would be nice if you had some help there!

    C-
Listening to a bunch of people barely familiar with the show ask each other questions that could be answered by watching the show a little more closely is painful. Why are they doing this?
  • Piernt
    This ain’t it
There are a few good points peppered in, but in general, this seems poorly researched, and it’s almost painful to listen to. The clunky way of conducting the discussion is awkward. Suggestion: rewatch the first season and pay attention. Lots of things are forgotten in almost 3 years.

    Software to balance the mic?
Geez, the mics are all off. One I can hear, the other breaks my ear drums.
  • igotgrapes
At least they get some interviews
If you enjoyed the show Severance but found yourself thinking “I wish i could have this explained to me by 3 room temperature IQ Hollywood press mutants” this is the podcast for you!

    Poor listening experience
Love the topic and had high hopes, but the audio experience is horrible. The producers should use better quality microphones, balance the audio dynamics, and coach the hosts how to speak more evenly. They go from whispering to yelling in your ears, really uncomfortable to listen to this. Aside from the audio the rest isn’t bad.
  • LauraPATX
    Fun discussion
I really like hearing their thoughts and theories. I’m hooked on the show and this podcast!

    Great podcast!
    Love it

    Brilliant Show, Horrible Interviewer
How on earth could they not have found a better interviewer? The show and it’s performers are brilliant. Could they not have found an interviewer that doesn’t sound like one of the superficial ones on Entertainment Tonight? (People, listen to Terry Gross and learn, please.)
  • JaviDelqui
    Fun and insightful
Thorough recap and super interesting takes.
  • Mr_Landru
    Big disappointment.
Listening to episode one and two this sounds like a PR podcast from the creators. Such a disappointment as I was hoping for a good discussion on this fantastic show and not a guided conversation from someone selling a product.
  • Hgyytrd
    Good content & hosts
I tried another podcast wrap up of this show, and it was overloaded with commercials and annoying host blabber. This one gets to the point, has better hosts, and no commercials. Winner!!
  • EtM80
    Love having this!
I wish all shows had companion podcasts, especially shows like this, that really need deep thinking and analyzing! So glad it’s available!
  • MICHE Queen
    Fun Show!
Love all the opinions & insight!
  • Gmanuse
    Good podcast. Mediocre audio quality.
Sounded like the microphones for Jeff and Rick weee not on or levels not set high enough.
  • velvetgeek
    Amazing show!
