TrscsailorEpisode 119Just listened to 119. A lot of the characters have ties to the Murdaugh family. The defunct oyster shelling company where the unloaded drugs was owned by the Boulwares and Mixons who were witnesses in the Murder Trial of Alex.

Amanda and MacWhat a wild episode!I’m glad Herman Young was able to get his friend’s murder solved. Wow, what a shocker! Thanks for another great episode!
-
TeenBean18MehThe podcast comes off as if the female host (Danielle) is just reading a news article summarizing each case, with Matt chiming in with reactions so that it sounds more conversational. It’s not. There’s absolutely no background into the people involved in the crimes, be it the perpetrator(s) or the victim(s). Lastly, Danielle smacks her mouth DIRECTLY into the microphone every time she takes a breath before starting a new sentence. Drives me nuts.

SuzzyQlovesJesusMy favorite True Crime Podcast! This is my favorite true crime podcast. Matt and Danielle do a great job bringing SC crimes to the listeners. They are a dynamic duo! I also like how they bring the history of the place they are covering. Very interesting! I can’t wait for Mondays when I can listen to a new episode.

Kirk1914Great work!Keep up the great work, by far one of my favorite podcasts with lots of local stories that hit home, love how personal the show feels, and the history that is given before and during shows. The coverage of the cases is also done correctly, not overly done and straight to the Points needed to deliver good content. Love it!

Local gal and her pup5/5This week’s 3/3/25 episode brought me to tears. I had an appointment at MUSC the day Officer Turners was transported to Charleston. I remember pulling over, getting out of the car and hold my hand over my heart as dozens of police officers escorted her even helicopters in the air.

God’sgirl71Awesome PodcastI just want you guys to know how much I love and his Podcast. I’m from Newberry County, S.C. what I love most about you two is that your respectful of the cases, the families of the victims, but the thing I like the most is you guys let your feelings come through, I can feel it right through my earbuds. I love that you cover local cases. You should look into the case of Brooke Holsnback, she was a student at Clemson University was found murdered in a pond on or close to campus. To my knowledge it is still unsolved. I am a retired 911 dispatcher who can pass on another couple of cases if you’re interested.

and3r97LoveI just found this podcast a few months ago. I listen whenever I get the chance & I bounce back and forth between what episode I listen to, as far as the order I listen to them. I am not from SC, but I love true crime and hearing about “local” true crime, so this is perfect for me! I love listening to y’all’s stories and conversations. The 4 part episode on PeeWee Gaskins was fantastic. Congratulations on all the success, keep doing what you’re doing. ❤️

FlexyTrooperA Great ListenI am SC born and bred (Darlington to Lake View to Dillon to Florence). I am an avid true crime listener and it is a unique experience to know most of the places discussed so well. Knowing Danielle is a USC graduate makes the listen even better. Keep up the good work, y’all and Go Cocks! ❤️🐔

Jester’s MomMy favorite podcast! This is my favorite podcast in the world. Matt and Danielle research each case thoroughly and present in a very victim centered way. Love it. Recommend it to everyone! Love the shoutouts to pets on episodes, we lost our baby Jester (who was my podcast listening partner) at Christmas and I immediately thought of Danielle and her pups.
-

Diane BozTrying to catch up!I was told about this podcast maybe a year ago. I've been listening ever since. I'm only on episode 95 (I think!). I listen on my drive to/from work and if I'm on a road trip. You've both grown so much from your first episode.. I can't wait until I'm caught up! I moved to Augusta at the end of 2022 but I work in Aiken. It's cool to hear about the history of the cities/towns in South Carolina! Thanks for all you do!

seat ripoffLove!I love this show! I recently found the podcast and I seriously connect with the hosts. It's refreshing to listen to the podcast where the hosts are not self aggrandizing. (Unlike the other SC based true crime podcast)
-
BookHo48Great showI came across the show while looking for podcast about Susan Smith, given her recent parole hearing, and o got caught up in your stories. I just listened to the episode about the murder of Vickie Beckham, and I have a story about that. My mother, her companion, and I were in Newberry that weekend for a funeral, and left on June 12th to return to Myrtle Beach. We had stayed in a small hotel in the town of Newberry. At some point in 1995, my mother’s companion was visited by SLED agents who were asking him about our visit that weekend, because they were looking into her murder and I assume had canvassed hotels in the area looking for clues. Also, one thing I always remember about that case is that when Stephen Beckham was convicted, his daughter pleaded in the courtroom for them not to take her daddy away. I believe That plea went a long way towards the jury giving him life in prison instead of the death penalty. A really tragic case.

Sas6870South CarolinaI’ve lived in SC & NC most of my life. This show is one of the best shows I’ve ever listened to. I am a retired deputy with Spartanburg, SC. I listen to a lot of podcast, but I wait every Sunday for the newest Carolina Crimes. I wear their “ paraphernalia” I love this podcast. Join their fb group, because Matt or Danelle Myers will listen to your responses. Keep up the great work you do!! #CarolinaCrimes

Lee GeraniosGeorge StinneyThe only injustice that occurred was that a 14 year old boy was executed. George Stinney beat those two girls to death. He had a reputation as a mean kid. He confessed to his grandmother and he produced the murder weapon. Did you listen to any interviews of the residents who lived at the time of the murders? The nAaCp loves to drag up old cases and claim that the perpetrator was innocent. Apparently there are no guilty blacks. Only mean white people. Emmett Till is another lie perpetrated by SJWs. He did not deserve to be murdered but he did put his hands on Carolyn. He was no sweet little kid. He was a stupid kid. She had many black people in her store every day. Why would she lie about Till. I like your podcast because there is no swearing and you treat the subject matter with respect. My Vanderford people came from Union, South Carolina and fought for Southern Independence. My Summers and Lovelace people founded Iredell County, North Carolina. I was born in California.
-
JuliaWmsAwesome!Love this podcast! Love that you just state the facts and tell the story without too much extra talking.

I love listening every week and look forward to Sunday nights with Matt and Danielle! Tracy G
