A Year In Horror

14

Your host Paul Waller (not Weller) is a horror movie addict. During 2020 the workload for his band and music management job slowed right down. At this same time he discovered the movie social networking platform LETTERBOXD. Armed with this database he decided to fill in the gaps of his horror film knowledge. Within week one he was averaging 3 a day. This podcast is the result of that horror compulsion - A YEAR IN HORROR

Horror Podcasting Excellence and Fun 😃
Paul is a wonderful host that not only loves horror movies, but genuinely seems to love doing this podcast. The show has reactivated my love of horror films and provided tons of entertainment. I love it so much that I had to join the patreon…I needed MORE! I look forward to every episode. Thanks Paul!

A treasure trove for horror film freaks!
Paul is a fun, dynamic, and conversational host who manages to balance his memories and emotional connections to horror films with that of his guests, while also throwing in interesting facts and trivia, which makes for a great listen - and a different one compared to most more fact-scrolling and pretentious films podcasts. He also isn’t afraid to take on tough subject matter and he examines all kinds of takes on some of the most controversial horror films. I particularly enjoy his interviews with musicians that we all know and love, and getting their personal stories and connections to horror films which moved them in a significant way. I’m working my way through the Patreon and suggest you do, too! *Noticed someone gave this fantastic podcast a glowing review with an accidental 1 star, so figured I’d chime in and raise the average a bit here, because it truly is an awesome and vast show.*

    Great podcast!
Put on your earbuds, walk the dog or fold the laundry and just enjoy this podcast. I look forward to these epic multiple segment episodes every month. The shorter bonus episodes get me through until the first of the month entries. Paul Waller (not Weller) has created such a great show, from the introduction, the special segments like SciFi corner, worst 10 horror movies and also-rans of the year are such an enjoyable listen. The regular guests and new guests are fantastic. Anyone giving this podcast less than 5 stars are likely part of the short attention span tictoc generation. That is sad. Paul does such a great job with his podcast. He uses all his skills as a performer, manager, producer along with a fabulous delivery to make a great podcast. Give it a listen and get hooked!

Give this podcast a listen on every dog walk!
Great podcast! Love it is a nice long listen. Such a great angle to go a year in horror. Love the sci-fi corner. Great lists, I love lists, and the guests returning and new are so much fun in conversation with Paul. Love the intro and between music bites they created for each part but the best part, Paul Waller has help me be more keenly aware of music/soundtrack fr the films. His presentation focus on the sounds that is everything to make horror is so good. He gives a perspective I think as being in the music industry you don’t get anywhere else. Great podcast, give it a listen!
