RKW281Supremely educational podcast for anyone interested in hi-fiI have listened to almost every episode of this podcast, and it has really opened my eyes to a lot of stuff. This podcast is the reason that I sought out a pair of Dunlavey SC IIII speakers and appreciate very much both of these guys sharing their individual expertise. Although I am sad that there have not been new episodes, I understand that is a significant time investment to put these togetherand I can only hope that they decide to make more in the future. If you’re interested in hi-fi and deep dives on equipment and functionality of electronics, there is no better podcast.

Calvin&Hobbes2023Learn how to get better sound from expertsI've heard thoughts and insights about ways to improve sound quality from Darren and Duncan that I have never seen or heard from any other source. With their hands-on experience with designing and setting up audio equipment. they bring a wealth of knowledge that few other people have to their podcast.

DCNYerGlad the podcast is backI'm happy the podcast is back with Duncan. Even solo, Duncan communicates his enthusiasm and knowledge of stereo equipment. Also, the most recent interview with Garrett Hongo was excellent. I'm surprised there haven't been more interviews with Mr. Hongo. Thanks for the great shows and I also have no problem with long podcast episodes. My original review is below: I've developed an interest in hifi and am happy I found this podcast via their Instagram account today. I've already blown through half the podasts and look forward to more. The hosts present the information in a down to earth manner. They offer their opinions without being opinionated. There are plenty of audiophile podcasts out there that have promising starts, but eventually lose momentum with infrequent posts. I hope the hosts keep this up because there are a lot of topics out there.

Just a Philly GuyLove it!My favorite podcast. Look forward to listening every week! In addition to the knowledge Darren and Duncan bring to every episode, what I find most engaging is the passion and genuine enthusiasm they bring. And I love how willing they are to interact with their audience. And of course I love the album recommendations! Keep it up!

NoAmpToHeavyOp-Amp rollingBest audio podcast I've heard. These guys are super knowledgable and are a vpleasant listen. They cover all the levels of home audio. No snake oil subject is off limits lol. Where else can you ask a question to one of the lead audio designers in the industry and a guy who has probably handled, tested and listened to more different brands and types of gear than anybody. It's also nice to be able to listen to a podcast without worrying about skipping ahead or stopping the podcast due to the language my children are hearing. 5 star all the way

scannypackBest Source for Audiophile CommentaryI look forward to listening to the new podcast every week. Darren and Duncan know their stuff, and the conversational aspect of the podcast is great. The listener questions are awesome, as are a lot of the album recommendations. Some will not like it, as it is unedited and usually spans 2 hours or more. I’ve shared the podcast with a few friends, almost all of who gave up after one episode. Also, a lot of the physics and electrical engineering goes way over my head, as I suspect it does for most listeners, but it’s cool be aware of how deep the hobby goes. I consider myself somewhere between a beginner and intermediate audiophile. This podcast is probably not for the beginner audiophile. It’s for the real nerds only. Despite these two guys being very knowledgeable and having a ton of experience, it’s still just two guys sharing their opinions about a field / hobby that is a highly subjective in nature. If you are into Dunlavy speakers, fancy power cables, cable lifting, endless tweaks, DIY, REL subs, and expensive new gear, you will love this podcast. It’s also just a great way to begin to unpack the infinitely complex world that is audio. It’s kind of hilarious how much they dislike horn loudspeakers. More detailed show notes would be awesome, because the episodes are very long and a lot of them touch on the same topics, so it’s near impossible to go back to find a specific brand/model/tip without spending hours re-listening. Or just notes added to the website. So far the only guest has been Chris Brunhaver at PS Audio. More guests would be cool too. My favorite episodes are just Darren and Duncan though. Overall this podcast is a 5/5 for me. No amount of cruising forums or YouTube videos can beat this wealth of knowledge.

HypopsI dig itDespite the bro-y vibe, this is my audio-gear podcast of choice. I’ve learned a lot more than I ever expected just from listening to their full archive. Their regular music recommendations are also worlds better than most other similar podcasts or YouTube channels.

Khande24HiFi TweakersThese guys are great. Highly passionate and knowledgeable about gear and music. They go down the rabbit hole of audiophilia to degrees I haven’t heard before. Sometimes the engineering talk goes over my head, but I’ve enjoyed the insight into different speaker and amplifier topologies, tubes, cabling etc from experts that are living this stuff.

Bocky cCould be more conciseThere’s too much chitchatting.

Sampras270Show FluidityI really like what you guys talk about but it’s hard to really listen for very long because you’re not the best speakers. It is not smooth and it seems like the show could be half as long if you could just spit it out instead of every sentence being full of "umm”, “uhh”, “ahm”. Sorry Darren but you are the worst, you just sound uncomfortable. Hopefully it’ll get better with time.

D4minorFantastic podcast! This is my favorite podcast. These guys are great to listen to during long drives. I love the topics that they cover in depth (even the tangents!) and have learned a lot. As you might expect, its also really well recorded and produced.
