DichroicDinnerPartyNot a reliable source for these topics!!!She goes into the Delphic Maxim “Surety, then ruin” and proceeds to funnel the meaning down to simple debt. She either didn’t do her homework or didn’t bother to take the time to explore the meaning of the word or read up on philosophical interpretation. Though it does tie into the concept of a form of debt, “Beware of committing yourself to false opinion” is typically agreed to be the meaning, as it touches on the idea that Socrates was the wisest by means of self proclamation, that he only knew by way of not knowing.

OtherlleftThe gods are nowIt's weird that someone who worships these gods refers to them in the past tense, as if they no longer exist. It's not just when talking about the past; the host will say things like, "Hermes was the god of..." as if Hermes is no longer god of the same things now.
