Meat missile PilotBest aviation podcast that’s hosted by two people related to each other!I was turned on to the 21.Five podcast by a 121 buddy to get my fix as I had a normal day job and just instruct on the side. Your love of aviation and your entertaining episodes (even the cocaine ones lol) kept me pushing for more in aviation, I’m happy to say I just landed a weekend job as a Jump Pilot and can contribute your show to keeping me pushing for more. Thanks guys keep it up!

C5_PeteKee Bird episode is great! This Kee Bird episode slapped! Or, is slappy, slapping, slappity-doo? I don’t get all the younger gen slang, but this episode is really something. I saw the documentary when you spoke about it months ago. What they went through is nothing short of amazing. You two bring out the best questions. Like I’m sitting in the room with you! All the best!
-
Brad4467Kee Bird is the best episode ever!Have listened to all episodes, always a good laugh. Just listened to ep 161 about the Kee Brid recovery and was just rolling over all of Vernon Rich’s stories. Could not believe all the problems they overcame, let alone all the extra lives Vernon used on that expedition!

Driver33661One of the top 39 aviation podcastsI think I’m too old to say it slaps, but gnarly i think fits. Seriously these fellas share personal experience as Airline and corporate pilots with us, along with great interviews be it insurance, aircraft sales, med evac, or dropping slightly frozen flies from a piston plane, they cover it all. The best guest they have is Ted, someone has to keep Max and Dylan in check. (I apologized if I misspelled a name)
-
smelly_mcsmellersonsLet’s be honest, I’m just here for the snack basketDylan and Max are great! They provide down-to-earth conversations about topics that professional pilots care about. The stories shared by the hosts and guests alike are excellent. I particularly like the tales of triumph and hardship as the boys navigate ownership of a Murphy Moose homebuilt airplane while being an airline pilot and dad (and sometimes corporate pilot, too). Keep the episodes coming! -another airline pilot

PeteBeauxGet hiredGreat podcast to help guys like Me figure out what recruiters want to see

JohnsonFromWisconsinHonest Aviation PodcastThis podcast is a wonderful platform that discusses the industry with an accurate and honest lens. Dylan and Max have excellent guests to supplement their vast knowledge, and their approachable discussions about aviation are inclusive to those who enjoy it as a hobby, career, or who just want to learn more about the MU-2 (there’s gotta be at least 6 of us). This podcast is full of valuable insight such as how to get started in aviation, how to work with your significant other to understand difficulties that come with being a pilot, financial planning (never take financial advice from pilots- specifically divorced boomer captains), how to create a seniority-based bidding list with your children for chores, and so much more. These guys don’t sugarcoat the industry. You won’t find them posting aviation thirst traps that try to exploit the actually cool things we get to do. They recognize the 3:15am alarms, late hotel vans, commuting, crew scheduling, and the instability that causes that sad, sad tune of the furlough flute. They also recognize the incredible opportunities out there by asking great questions and allowing guests to discuss pros and cons of their experiences with certain careers. Their advice is well thought out, and they give careful consideration to individuals and the many variables that must be considered for their specific circumstances. Funny dudes, great conversations, and lots of valuable information. It’s skibidi Ps Joel got too much hate

C170pilotGreat aviation podcastI recommend this to all active pilots. Dylan and Max are entertaining and very knowledgeable with respect to professional aviation today. I look forward to hearing each episode. Thanks for what you do.
-
Collin HileExcellent PodcastAs a student pilot aspiring to become a pilot for the airlines or corporately, this podcast has increased my knowledge in all aspects of aviation. Light hearted, and very insightful. Keep it up!

Flying Elvis 78Corporate ladderGentlemen, the 21.5 show is my absolute favorite Aviation podcast. It provides relevant information blended with a good dose of humor. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, you guys put out episodes 147 and 149. Part 91/135 operations are my aim as I transition to professional flying from being a 20 year A&P. I feel that my background will lend itself quite well to a career in corporate aviation, and as such, I have pursued as much knowledge through NBAA, and last year I received my CAM accreditation. Episodes such as these definitely help someone like me learn more and stay relevant as I continue the grind. I’m about to begin working as an independent Flight Instructor to continue building my hours. You guys keep up the great work, and I will keep faking it until I make it. Thanks for all you do. Hope to see you guys at some of next year’s bigger events such as sun and fun or Oshkosh.

Monty82173Ep 147 5 starsI’m former military now an airline guy yet episode 147 small fly dept leadership was such a great discussion! Thank you Dylan and Maxx for continuing to have great content across many aviation disciplines!

Attack Lime(Thumbs up)Great podcast, I listen to it at the shop while I work my dayjob and it’s a great way to keep an ear on aviation without the drone of monotone study guides and audiobooks about LOC ILS RNAV ACS ATOMATOFLAMES GRABCARD AAV1ATE MOCA OROCA BBL driving you absolutely crazy on hour 10 of a 8 hour shift. Great knowledge being shared without boring you to tears. Thx guys -@catswithhardhats
-
Davidpa28Great podcastMax and Dylan do a great job with this podcast. I find it educational and entertaining. The topics discussed vary widely and keep the podcast interesting. From the historic first hand account of drug smuggling to advice on how to best prepare for a job interview to the building of a Murphy Moose and the now famous advice of “ fake it till you make it” , all can find something to enjoy here.
-
OzelafW Rizz PilotsDylan and Max both give great advice as well as information while still giving me a few laughs every episode. This podcast has kept me entertained during my 2.5 hours of driving to flight school 4 times a week. Need more Ted though, his perspective of being a IRO is critical to aviation as a whole, without him who will ever make the beds. Besides that, 10/10 podcast.

Tommy the PoetUseful and Entertaining for PilotsI have been listening to the show for almost a year now, every episode is useful for current aviation professionals, entertaining for the pilots, or a combination of the two. Some episodes I know I’m going to need to pay full attention to while others I can just throw on while I’m getting things done. As an aspiring professional pilot working on the grind to ATP hour minimums, this podcast is the perfect blend of insider knowledge and pilot humor to keep me motivated. (Faking it until I make it) Keep up the good work guys, this is the best aviation podcast out there!

_lingoA Slap of Aviation Wisdom and Laughs!I’ve absolutely loved tuning in to Max and Dylan on the 21Five Podcast. These two professional pilots have created something special, sharing their wealth of experiences, fantastic stories, and invaluable advice. Their episodes are packed with real-world insights, and I’ve gone through their entire catalog with great joy. Every episode is a slap in the best way possible—earth-shattering content that leaves you eager for more! Whether it’s “fake it until you make it” moments or practical reminders like “use it or lose it,” Max and Dylan never fail to deliver. And when they jump on a soapbox, you know it’s going to be both educational and entertaining. This podcast is a must-listen for anyone passionate about aviation!
-
commandosammoBest Pilot PodcastI’m subscribed to at least 4 different aviation podcasts and this one is by far the best. Every episode is packed to brim of great advice and even better stories. Sometimes, it’s even things you didn’t know you needed like how to incorporate bidding into your kid’s chores! Keep up the great work guys!

shaymc46My kids need stickers! (also, this podcast still SLAPS)The cornerstone of education for the professional pilot. If I could sit around a fire drinking whiskey and talking aviation with Dylan, Max, Nic, Tim, and James while reading snippets of Hard Landing and calling Ted on speaker phone, I feel I would have all the tools needed to stumble through and maybe even thrive in this career. Rare is the show that is professional and informative enough to host legacy check airmen, and then hilarious enough to immediately follow up with publicly roasting the entire concept. And those were just the second and third episodes! Thanks for all you do guys, and thanks for not taking yourselves or this job too seriously. I will continue to point every pilot I know your way. Keep it up! #FakeItTilYouMakeIt
-
JD_RTRGreat Show! Skygods is a great listen!Hey guys, love the show and helps me get through the days of training and I get plenty of laughs as well! I heard yall mention Skygods in the last episode and I would HIGHLY recommend listening to that book instead of reading. Narrator is probably the best non fiction I’ve heard. If you want to dive more in detail about early Pan Am history, Robert Gandt has another good book called “China Clipper.” Roll Tide

CKGilbertOne of my Favorite Podcasts!I listen to a number of podcasts on different subjects, and 21.FIVE is my favorite aviation-related podcast. I’ve been a pilot for over two decades and I’m a Career 2.0 pilot now flying Part 135. I’m racing against my age and hoping to get to a 121 legacy carrier before all is said and done, as my dream is to fly the 777 one day. iI appreciate the breadth of relevant topics, particularly as they apply to professional pilots and career insights. Keep up the great work and thanks for your dedication to your fellow aviators.
-
turboprop johnnySlappinGreat podcast that covers a variety of different topics within the aviation industry and provides relevant and useful perspectives. The witty banter is an added bonus. As the description suggests, the content will make you a more informed pilot whether new or old and in areas of the industry you didn’t even know existed.

TheAdventurePakJust what the Dr. ordered!Fellas! I stumbled on your podcast a few months ago, and now it’s a highlight of my day every time there is a new episode. I am a career 2.0 aviator, and I appreciate the value you guys are putting out there. I have learned a ton from you and always enjoy laughing along with you! As silly as it sounds, keep on doing all of the gear reviews. Just make sure you wear shoes next time :-) Keep up the great work! Gozer

Khaled AlchahrourFire Podcast 🔥🔥🔥I found this podcast in the beginning of 2023 when I was a senior in high school. I was just beginning my aviation journey then, and now I’m a CFII waiting for a CJO to work at my flight school. This podcast has accompanied me along the way providing great insight into the world of aviation in a fun & entertaining way. Although I may not benefit from this podcast as much as other more experienced corporate & airline pilots since I’m relatively inexperienced, I still think this is a good listen for anyone looking for valuable industry information to stay in the loop. When the time comes I’ll be using information I got from this podcast to further my career by going to people like Tim Pope and Spitfire Elite. Listening to you guys has definitely made me more aware of what’s going on in aviation and has taught me to think like a pilot outside of the cockpit. I love how you guys appeal to the younger audience as well! I find it hilarious whenever y'all use Gen-Z slang. It’s awesome 😂. This pod high key slaps 🔥🔥🔥 and so does the intro! PLEASE don’t change the intro!! Joel’s voice is soul of this show. Stick with the OG music too. Anything new won’t feel authentic. I absolutely LOVE this show, and I hope that one day I get to meet you guys in person!!! From, Khaled. P.S. I was the guy trolling Dylan on instagram counting the days waiting for the luggage review video 😂😂. When I heard Dylan talk about it I laughed my butt off in the car. P.S.S. If you guys think Gen-Z slang is odd then you’re not ready for Gen Alpha brainrot. This podcast is straight fanum tax skibidy toilet rizz down in Ohio 🔥🔥🔥🔥
-
pooh-dipThis show is bussin bussinAs the title says, this show is bussin bussin. I get all the info I need and it always slaps. It could use some more Ted though. He be straight yappin but in a good way.
-
ak907boySlapsThis is my favorite podcast to listen on commute to my flight school as I build hours to go the airlines one day (hopefully). Great mix of humor, perspective, and information that I would otherwise probably not hear for many more flight hours. Keep up the good work guys! Also.. I am with Ron on the long sleeves train. Not because I am wearing uniforms yet obviously, but how they look. Yes, I do have a proclivity towards long sleeves myself due to living in a cold climate, but also think about this- if you wore a short sleeve uniform with a tie and a added in a bicycle helmet, who would you look like? No disrespect to Utah or it’s population, much love for everyone. I would just rather the long sleeves and look less dorky. But what do I know, I’m still stuck in a pattern at an uncontrolled airport with super cub cowboys and no air conditioning! Thanks again for the great content. Always love when James ONiel is on. And the dude with the camels. Cya

767CargoPilotBest Podcast for Professional AviatorsI learned about the 21.Five Podcast from my sim partner when I was in initial training at a regional airline three years ago. Since then this has become my favorite podcast. Excellent information from professional pilots who are out there walking the walk. Plus great guests providing everything from career advice to financial recommendations. A fun and informative podcast for aspiring professional pilots as well as those already at their dream job. Great job guys!
-
Jeff4356Love 21.FIVE!I’m a low time student pilot, 180 hours, about to get Instrument and building towards Commercial. I listen/watch multiple aviation podcasts and vlogs, but I must say yours has a level of professionalism not normally found in this space. I love how real you both are, the quality of production is on point, and it just feels like I went out for a beer with two pilot buddies who happen to know WAY more about aviation than me. Keep up the hard work, I’m a listener for life! PS I’m anticipating the update and release if the brood map. You just can’t get this type of actionable info anywhere else! Joe - Colorado
-
TwistedPropBest Aviation Podcast for All Aviation CareersI so appreciate how knowledgeable the hosts are and their willingness to be open to any flying job out there. This is one of the most diverse podcasts I have ever listened to in terms of aviation. Although it is of course mostly corporate and airline talk, I love the variety they include in their podcasts. Keep up the awesome work guys!
-
Outfits ohGreat podcastI really enjoy this podcast. The latest episode(s) on luggage and latest takes have been excellent. I particularly like the book recommendation and book club! Flexibility is the key to air power.
-
Dingopilot87This Podcast Absolutely SlapsI’m a military rotary wing and fixed wing pilot on the slow train to the airlines. This podcast is the perfect mix of entertainment and education to get an insight of the industry. Huge fan of Straight Talk and the Roger Reaves series. James Onieal always provides great perspectives! Keep up the great work and thanks for the motivation to continue pursuing the dream! Hoping this dog catches the bus soon.
-
Drone451SnarkyGreat show. It’s refreshing to listen to pilots podcast with actual line pilots. As a 62 year old spirit captain I enjoy the gallows humor of the furlough flute.

NickAZ1My go to aviation podcastTons of great insight, accurate, and real time 121 information. This is a great podcast for those in 91, 121, or 135 world or those looking to get into aviation. Dave_G77Awesome!Just found the podcast and I have to say thanks! You guys are keeping it real and in real time with current situations among the industry. You’ve given me a 2.0 guy hope that at 46 I might still be able to fly commercially assuming I get off my butt and go fly. Thanks again for keeping it real and entertaining at the same time.
-
Maverick152002Podcast still slappin… or is it slapping… or slaps so hard… whatever, it’s awesome!Great podcast for current and future professional aviators. Good info, great guests, and fun stories. Plus nice little nuggets on the points front. The podcast would be perfect if they would just add a UND guy or gal to balance out all the ERAU love… but for real, great show! Thanks for helping me eat up the airport appreciation time!
-
TherkynFantastic-Aviation Career ExperienceFormer Part 135 Capt, now full-time aviation attorney and occasional contract pilot. This podcast is an amazing resource for anyone curious about a career in aviation. I refer new clients to this podcast and to vendors mentioned for career resources. They somehow managed to cover all flying, corporate, cargo, airline, even fire fighting. It’s a must listen.
-
nseibtSlaps so hardGreat podcast. As a military rotor guy transitioning to a regional, I’ve gotten a lot of great advice and some good laughs here. Really appreciate the episodes about training tips and the spectrum of experience Dylan, Max, the Diamond Dogs, and their guests bring. Puro fuego. Also thanks for the intro to Donovan Batiste and get him on the show!
-

jimmydean1023Top 40 aviation podcastsOne of my favorite podcast to listen to when I run or on my commute to work. As the youths would say it slaps and is straight fire bro! Currently a Navigator in the Air Force making the jump over to commercial aviation with my Gi Bill. The podcast is super funny Max and Dylan’s banter is hilarious and the show is super informative on the state on the aviation industry. Thanks for producing this awesome podcast! Because of it I reached out to Diamond Dog James Onieal and Raven Careers, for career advice on making the jump to chase my dream job of being an airline pilot.
-
Sikorsky PilotFun and EngagingThis aviation podcast, led by two seemingly "boring" guys, defies expectations by infusing learning about aviation with a refreshing dose of fun and uniqueness. Often imitated but never duplicated, these hosts embody the spirit of continuous learning, proving that even the most mundane topics can be engaging. The addition of unique guests adds another layer of intrigue, keeping listeners like me coming back for more.
-
JTAH77This is the pilots showThis is the best show to show what conversation is like in the cockpit. I've started at episode one and have almost caught up to current episodes. And the variety of topics, conversation, and side stories are a great example of how it is in the cockpit, crew room, or LMS lesson. You guys keep it entertaining and makes this Airline guy 12 day trips a little more tolerable. Keep up the hard work guys. Oh yeah and this maybe a throwback but does Max still wear long sleeves all year long. I don't know how you do it. Fly safe guys.
-
rdcleoGreat Resource for AspiringAbsolutely love this podcast! Was hooked from the first episode! Max
