I am a parent to an 11 year old and I discovered this podcast about a month after I decided to finally pull my son from public school. I had known for a long time that public school would eventually not work for us, and I was desperate to find any resource to help in the decision. Not only did I have ten thousand questions about what to expect, but I also needed to hear from other people who had done this to tell myself that what I was doing was okay. (I’ve even shared several of these episodes to my closest friends who continuously challenge my decision to not depend on the public educational institution to prepare my son for the world, although they continue to turn a blind eye.) I have found this to be the best podcast on unschooling as it answers these immediate questions I had as a parent. I love the episodes where she talks to graduated homeschoolers. She covers every ground on the subject of unschooling and I have become so much more confident in our (my son and I) decision to learn this way. I am beyond grateful for this podcast!!!!

I love listening to everyone experiences and advice. Hoping to hear from black unschoolers/parents. I'd love to hear some experiences and advice a little more linked closely to my culture.

I adore this podcast. I love how there is a wide variety of families experiences shared and lots of parents sharing their stories. Pam is a great host. I learn so much each time I listen.

I’ve really been going through exactly these things you spoke of and we’re new at this. I’m so lucky because knows the deal on homeschooling and what he needs so I’m able to shift gears and let him do his thing. He's 13 and has been telling me what’s been happening at school for a couple years and it’s been torture watching him suffering through that. Even though it’s challenging at times we’re so glad we’re doing this!

I love this podcast! It’s given me confidence in homeschooling and parenting. I know I’ll keep returning to listen to remind myself of all the things I’ve learned. Even if you aren’t going with the Unschooling Method 100%, there is much to be learned and applied here!

Finally listened in after a few years of unschooling and it’s just what I needed to encourage me to go deeper with unschooling/deschooling. Pam is an excellent host, the conversations are natural and insightful, and the q&a episodes are an excellent resource for anyone, in any stage, of unschooling.

One of the many reasons why I love this podcast, is that the host (Pam Laricchia) has such a passion for Unschooling, and does not hesitate to share all of her experiences during her Unschooling journey! Episode by episode Pam and her guests are inspiring me and breaking apart the beliefs my upbringing made me think are truths or facts. But far from it, I’m greatly enjoying considering the Unschooling way of life for my children and testing it out more and more each day. I had been unschooling for a few years when I found this podcast and it has changed things in our home and our life so much. The Q and A round table episodes are some of my favorite and have helped me so very much in my own understanding of unschooling. I also really like the episodes that have grown unschoolers as guests. I feel so much more confident in our journey and I’m realizing when the fears creep in about things it’s now my cue to dig deeper into that topic instead of questioning everything I’ve done this far. I can’t tell you how much of a positive impact having these regular unschooling voices pop up in my podcast feed is for me. Hearing conversations and stories from those who’ve been treading this path for longer, and hearing so many positive stories of unschooling lives is so helpful in allowing me to live joyfully in our own unschooling life. This Podcast has helped me TREMENDOUSLY explore a world I had no idea about, while I was wrestling with the idea that I was actually unschooling. I just found this podcast. My daughter is 11 months old, but I have been reading about unschooling for several years now. My husband and I were publicly schooled and felt uninspired and bored by the education (for the most part). The most thought provoking podcast I have ever listened to, and I have listened to many. I especially love the Q and A episodes. This podcast has been life changing! Definitely confirms I am doing the right thing by not sending my 5 year old to kindergarten this year.

When I first discovered unschooling last spring this was one of the first podcasts I found. I devoured all the episodes and look forward to every Thursday when a new one is posted. I'm always so encouraged and feel like I can relax. It makes me want to be a better parent and continue to work on my family relationships. I love listening to different perspectives and creative ways of approaching day to day life and education. Unschooling should be renamed Life Learning. :) Thanks again for doing this podcast!

I just listened to the podcast with Anna Brown (#7) and it is awesome, beautiful and relevant to EVERYONE who wants to live a happier life. I love all of these podcasts about unschooling, it’s like eavesdropping in on a private conversation between veteran unschoolers. For me, these are more powerful than most books and articles b/c the tones of the guests come through clearly and the intention is better understood in this format. These Moms and Dads are Radical and Thoughtful and changing the world by creating genuinely respectful and joyful homes with their children and this is the inside view on how they are doing it and I LOVE listening to these, they are so helpful, they are so clarifying, and they are FREE!!!!!

I have been an unschooling mom for over a decade. These podcasts are helping me peel back the layers to find more joy, trust and connection with my 3 sons. The podcasts would be beneficial to anyone exploring unschooling as well as long time unschoolers looking to go deeper.

I have so appreciated Pam Laricchia’s web site and books and i am SO THANKFUL for this podcast. Unschooling is such a beautiful and revolutionary way to live and I love hearing from pioneers like her. I don’t always have time to sit down and read, but I can listen while driving, doing dishes, etc. The interviews and Q & A’s are wonderful and I look forward to the new episodes each week.

As a unschooling mom at heart I became burnt out in my "homeschooling" about 4 years ago. It was more so because I began the comparison game and never hung on to the real reason I began homeschooling. I got lost in the "curriculum" choices and what other homeschooling moms were doing as well as how schooling moms with kids in traditional schools were learning. 7 out of 8 of my kids have been in a private traditional school for the past 4 years and since listening to your podcast my heart has become joyful again on this topic and we are planning on bringing them home to follow their interests, passions and curiosity.
