    Clever podcast with depth.
James, this podcast is brilliant. You say exactly what’s on my mind, sometimes before I even know it’s what I’m thinking. Thanks for keeping it real.

    Perfect podcast
Short. To the point. And the best thing about this is that it is challenging. It’s not just entertainment, or reciting the latest hot takes from the industry, but a really thoughtful exploration of each subject. I don’t always agree with James, but that sparks reflection and I always come away with a something new.

    Laughing the whole show
James tells it like it is! He pulled a lot of the honest and somewhat controversial thoughts about HR right out of my head! Plus he’s hilarious. I laugh through the whole show! Thank you for that 😀

    Witty Smart Connected and down-to-earth
It feels like James and I grew up together in recruiting...when the www started, then social and linked, to ATSs that do everything for you. He talks about topics that matter to me. Short, insightful, with charm. (Not to uptight professional) I love this podcast.

HR - incorporate this into your team L&D
Excellent, succinct, disruptive, smart. If you're in talent acquisition or HR and you're NOT listening to this podcast then you're going to be left behind. Important topics which you have the control in shaping/shifting in your organization.

    Thoughtful employment branding content
I recently discovered this podcast and already it's been very helpful. James Ellis is witty, experienced, insightful and willing to answer YOUR questions. Episode 022 is my fault. Only potential drawback is that, as he readily admits, it's not scripted so sometimes you get some stream of consciousness detours. If you're good with that then it's fun. But as these average about 40 minutes don't expect a quick answer podcast. All in all I'm glad I discovered and I'll definitely keep listening!

    Buzzword-free recruiting strategies
James tackles traditional (and trendy) recruiting strategies, does the hard work of breaking them down into tactical and actionable pieces of advice that you can truly act on at the end of the episode. The best part, for me, is that he does it all without sounding like a buzzword bingo caller. His insights into the mind of a hiring manager are spot-on, and he does a great job of helping close the language barrier between recruiters and managers so both can see/hear each other better and be more productive as a team.
